    This package worked fine…. until the Dolby Digital Live Pack was installed.
    It left and empty device selection box on the encoder tab.

    I think it’s something to do with the certificates in the .UDA files

    New Dolby Digital Live Pack needed, perhaps…..?

    Any solution to the empty encoder page?
    Extracting drivers/folders and setting everything to compat mode + admin rights hasn’t help.

    Should’ve posted this here:

    I just got this from CLs:

    Dear Tom,

    Thank you for reaching us at Creative Technical Support. I am very glad
    to have the opportunity to assist you.

    Driver update for Windows 7 does not include DDL (Dolby Digital Live)
    component. Customer will need to revert back his Windows to continue
    using DDL.

    If you still require assistance, please reply to this email with any
    previous correspondence to ensure the quickest and most accurate
    service.

    Best Regards,

    …. Owned by Creative once again;
    was happy to see that they got some love for win7 users, but then this?
    ddl was mainly the only reason im still using my audigy; guess im going for asus next time i get a new soundcard >.<

    Pwned, indeed. They always seem to find a way to lose features legitimately. I’m thinking it’s because the drivers aren’t licenced for DDL use. There better be an updated dolby pack, or I’m getiing cross.

    I spent £2.52 on that!

    Na, still doesn’t sodding work.
    Dan K’s drivers get it working in speaker modes but not headphone moe, which is the only time I use it.

    Dan K’s just released 2.5 support pack using these drivers.
    Everything works perfectly now.

    Including CMSS/CMSS2 under headphones which is what I’ve always wanted.
    Love me some virtualized speakers.

    One small thing i’ve noticed though is that you need to go in to the windows audio console an configure the speakers for 5.1. Once that done just use Creatives console.

    These are easily the best drivers available for the Audigy 2 under Win7.
    I was having some problems with older games and Alchemy, but new games work perfectly.

    just found the enhancement pk 3.1 from here, yet i wasn’t able to install software and not driver so just updated/rolled back from this one. Have to say, the performance is very good, i have an A2plX in conjunction w/ Win7 and outputting to a Sony SACD amp so can use analog 5.1, 2ch 96Khz or digi 5.1 with or without DD.

    I personally prefer the analog in 5.1 and have just listened to my Metallica black album DTSCD using MPC and ac3filter and could enable every enhancement bar the Para EQ as per release notes, the Graphic equalizer, reverb, bass redirection within spkr sttngs and could even use the ms enhancements like loudness eq (yet found this pretty poor, loudening sounds which should not be. Probably a type of DD night mode..), spkr fill worx nicely and basically adds stereo widening on 5.1 content. All spkrs are controllable via ac3filter, no natural cmss (creative media-source surround) or 5.1 upmixing as i’ve xperienced with every Linux setup.

    All in all……………………….. i’m the happiest i have bn with my audio setup since vista was released!! The SBAX_PCDVT_LB_2_15_0004EQ driver i thought was the best we were going to get yet this driver is one step from perfection in my eyes, with just the para eq in 5.1 missing :0….. hmmm, what is the diff between this driver and the one included in enh3.1pack??

      The actual driver is identical to the official release, as far as I know. The file protection is still intact anyway..

      He’s openly said he doesn’t “tweak” the drivers. The changes daniel_k implements are mainly installer and application fixes with Audio Console etc. Sadly, some of the fixes are simple things that shouldn’t take Creative two years to look at…

      Glad everything is working for you!
