As Tom pointed out here, these latest drivers allow Dolby Digital Live function.
It’s even a newer DDL version!

Sadly it’s still buggy as hell. *Cries*

On top of that with x64 OSs CMSS isn’t working properly either.
Dan’s actually removed his download links until it’s sorted.
Works fine in x86 systems though, apparently.

Live drivers was dropped ?

I’m pretty sure daniel_k has a Live! driver package. I believe Windows 7 and XP have their own drivers built in anyway.

However if you are talking about nomoregoatsoup’s “Live! page” then yes. I got fed up with updating content that 1% of visitors looked at. šŸ˜€

I’m using Window 7 x64, sound blaster AUDIGY 2 SB0350, after setup Support pack 2.5. Everythings is cool, but not have a Bulit-in Decoder??? How i get it???

thinhint:

SB0350 should be an Audigy2 ZS therefore the Creative Console *should* already display this option. The Audigy 2 ZS is capable of DD, dts and DVD-A.

If it’s not there, then perhaps the drivers haven’t installed properly -or the card is being mis-identified. All of my vanilla Audigy 2 have the option.

It could be a problem with the installer or previous driver remnants.
I’d uninstall all Creative software, restart, get Guru 3D driver to work, restart, reinstall.

If that doesn’t work it might pay you to ask daniel_k..

IĀ“m using Windows 7 X64, Sound Blaster Audigy Platinium, is there a way to fix the SPDIF/IN Problem? I have a Ps3 conected to my Audigy Via Optical but I have the Optical Muted, In Windows 7 Mixer I dont have de SPDIF/IN Volumen control HEELLPP!!!, With the Original Creative Drivers I dont have this problem but I dont have CMSS2 or Stereo Surround :S:S

no ddl here

Just use the old drivers. Finding a better alternative to CMSS would be the only simple solution. It doesn’t sound *that* good anyway.

SPDIF-In for x64 has always been disasterous at best. There’s only so much driver modders can do now. Creative have made it very clear they don’t want people tampering with their interlectual property.

Sadly, some parts of the new drivers will not work with *new* drivers. The days of simple file replace have passed. That used to be the old fashioned way of doing things..

aew these are drivers for “Genuine Audigy” Series. Not Live! 24-bit. They are very different models.

Supports any model of the following Sound Blaster cards (based on Emu10kx DSP):
– Audigy
– Audigy 2
– Audigy 2 ZS
– Audigy 4

daniel_k did make several drivers for Live in Vista. nomoregoatsoup have abandoned the Live! Series.
Sorry šŸ˜¦

Does NMGS produce modded drivers then?

hehe not for a while. We did a couple at the launch of Vista, which restored the decoder tab, corrected 2 speaker resets and stuff. There hasn’t been any for a while, because of several reasons.*

*There’s not that much broken anymore (compared to before)
**Creative locking stuff up better
***daniel_k works harder at it
****I’m ditching my Audigys next build!

There’s a 2.18 (6.0.1.1371) remix in the pipes though, and so far feedback has been good.

I feel like a total noob… I bought a minijack to toslink cable from monoprice to hook up to my decoder, and tried for several hours to install different drivers. I can’t seem to get the SPDIF output to register on my speakers… it keeps playing sound on the direct headphone jack but I don’t hear anything on my sound system, even with the device set to SPDIF out.

Have I made a tragic noob error?

Hello, thanks for the release.

I am desperatly trying to make Dolby Digital Live work (I purchase and activated it). But I have an empty dropdown list in the encoder’s tab.

Si I tried this modded driver. But I can’t install Audio Console. I get a 6003 error.

It tells me close all programs (done, even with fail safe mode), remove my temporary files (done too) and verify my internet connection (It works of course).

What can I do ? I have a 5.1 speakers with an external decoder. Without this I can’t use all my 5 speakers.

Thank you for an answer.
